- CURB APPEAL& Trimmed lawn, pruned hedges and bushes, cleaned gutters & exterior (power washing is not expensive), paint touch ups on trim & shutters & maybe it's time to paint that front door.
- Inside clutter: Consider renting a storage bin. Homes filled to the seams with even the best of furniture look smaller.
- Get rid of cobwebs inside, outside, and in the basement
- Unclutter your kitchen and bathroom counters, closets, basements and garages. You need not get rid of everything, but boxed & piled neatly says a lot to the perspective buyer.
- Keep your house bright. Open curtains and shades before showings and have the lights turned on. Replace burnt out light bulbs.
- Minor repairs cost little and return a lot. Fix anything that sticks, squeaks, or drips.
- Kitchens: Keep your oven & appliances spotless. Minimize the covering of your refrigerator door with magnet held memos & pictures.
- Bathrooms: Repair grouting and caulking. Tubs, sinks, & toilets should sparkle.
- Prepare as you would for company: some fresh flowers, a dining room tablecloth or whatever else you feel shows your house off best.
